The OMNISILK dental surgical suture is a non-absorbable polyfilament, in natural protein fibre, made by weaving a suitable number of silk fibres from the cocoons of the silkworm Bombyx mori L. The fibres are dyed black and purified to make them reliable in terms of biocompatibility and non-capillarity. They are also coated with silicone and paraffin to make the surface smoother and more even and increase their smoothness. They are braided with a particular process to make the surface compact, ductile, soft and easily knottable, easy to handle and visible. ADVANTAGES: The HR needle is used mainly for delicate tissues and is distinguished by good penetration of the tissues without creating lacerations or tissue damage.
