The OMNISILK dental surgical suture is a non-absorbable polyfilament, in natural protein fibre, made by weaving a suitable number of silk fibres from the cocoons of the silkworm Bombyx mori L. The fibres are dyed black and purified to make them reliable in terms of biocompatibility and non-capillarity. They are also coated with silicone and paraffin to make the surface smoother and more even and increase their smoothness. They are braided with a particular process to make the surface compact, ductile, soft and easily knottable, easy to handle and visible. ADVANTAGES: The HRT needle consists of a quadrangular pyramid shaped tip and an oval body. This particular structure allows good penetration into the soft tissues without creating lacerations and without the needle turning in the needle holder. This needle is particularly indicated for use in periodontal surgery and dental implant surgery.
